What Was YOUR Worst Quality As A JW?
by minimus infor me it had to be that i was trained to be judgmental.
i'm naturally a person who doesn't believe everything someone says---just because they say it's true.
still, a "good elder" is supposed to be watchful of what might "contaminate" the congregation.. so, it's time to bare your soul.

Did not buy into extreme thinking that was out of harmony with what I perceived God to be ie: Jehovah will destroy people 'cause they did not listen to my inept witness and what about countries that did not have a christian background more than two thirds of the world's population that have never even seen a bible let alone a WT..........I spoke to DF ones and tried to encourage them to come back even had them over for dinner. Had a beard not because I was rebellious I was loyal to the concept I believed at the time ie that the GB was doing their best to follow the scriptures and lead us in harmony with Jah's spirit.......dressed well at the meeting did not always wear a tie. When asked by the Elders why I didn't always sit through the meeting and would often stand outside talking to other brothers. I told them I had piles... no tie ashma... beard skin rash from shaving they had no answer to medical reasons and just left me alone. I helped at quickbuilds and in trucking for assemblies I owned a truck and had a good relationship with the Elders often having a beer with them during these projects but I did not suck up to them. My worst quality from an organizational viewpoint was I was not a sycophant which I suspect many elders secretly admired. My worst quality genarally was being a dickhead and ignoring all the warning signs that the claims of the Org on my loyality were bogus.

Well I come here because I like to check out from time to time what is happening in the JW world ....to hear you guys rant and join in sometimes... we do share a common background...... My JW family, friends and ex are all dead ... well not literally but they may as well be .... I morned their death and moved on and enjoy life and all it has to offer. If any of the living dead wake up one day I'll be happy and welcome them back into my life but I don't put my life on hold hoping this will happen. I would say I'm a 10

Doesn't bother me. I have learned that some people are ignorant or just plain stupid.

why do elders ask such personal questions when deciding whether to disfellowship
by looloo ina friend of mine was asked if she had become "moist" along with had penetration actually taken place , why is that necassary to ask along with did you fondle breasts etc surley they could keep it short and ask if the "deed " was done , yes or no ?
why all the other questions ?
she was only 19 with no experiance of life and sex and was so embaressed she could not answer and was disfellowshipped for being "cocky" any ideas ?.

When fat, older people and especially men confess, the sessions are generally short and quick. It's a bizarre thing.
Hardly bizarre OnTheWayOut.... just proof that they get their rocks off..... Sick bastards.... all done under the self righteous cover of keeping the congregation clean Would they ask their own daughters such questions?

Show-down with elder at the kingdom hall
by Hobo Ken inthis is podcast 8 in the death or obedience series.. this was recorded on christmas day 2008.. after our last visit from two local elders my wife felt she could no longer be known as a jehovah's witness and had chosen to disassociate herself in november 2008.. we had been on a family holiday and had returned to find that one of the local elders who had visited us had warned off my mother-in-law from having anything to do with my wife - her daughter.
he also made false statements about one of my children.. i decided to confront this elder at the kingdom hall.
this podcast is the recording of our conversation.. notice how he denies making such statements to my mother-in-law and falsely accuses me of teaching her beliefs contrary to jehovah's witnesses.. i ask whether it's a sin to no longer be a jehovah's witness?.

Pretty nifty piece of footwork avoiding the question "Is Jesus God" Me I am happy to worship Jesus. From reading the Gospells and the way he lived and treated people Jesus is exactly the God I am drawn to. And who was it that disfellowshipped the blind man who put faith in Jesus and worshipped him? The same ones who are doing this today the GB and their minions the Elders

by Luo bou to inlittle background.
some fifteen years ago when i woke up to the deception and deprogrammed myself ....i tried to rescue my wife but she refused to consider anything that questioned wt authority.
i was however successful with my son, now 26 and working as a psychologist.

Thanks guys The sad part is that all this fearmongering over the years has had an adverse affect on her health. Angina and bowel problems caused by the stress. And there is not a damn thing we can do about it
